Dulux’s latest brand campaign leads with the idea that colour has a transformative effect. As well brightening up your home the power of colour extends beyond that, having a positive impact on your life, providing you with the opportunity to #ChangeYourStory.

As part of the digital support for the campaign we assembled a team of designers and social media strategists from AnalogFolk, colour experts from Dulux and up and coming illustrators from London Design colleges and spent 24 hours (from midnight on Monday 4th March) bringing colour to social feeds.

We created customised colourful profile pictures across the board for design icons such as Kelly Hoppen, Olympic heroes like Rebecca Adlington and colour champions and Dulux fans who gave their support to the idea that colour has the power to transform lives for the better. We had an extra surprise for some fans, colouring their profile picture and tweeting it back to them as a unique reminder of positive power of colour. For others, we responded as only a paint brand could, stepping back into the analog world to paint colourful personalised responses on paper, which we then photographed and tweeted back.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be using social media to inspire people to change their own stories with a splash of colour. Our content is designed to provide inspiration and practical advice for projects of all sizes, whether it’s customising an item of furniture with a new coat of ‘Made by me’ colour, or giving an entire room a colourful makeover. Dulux Colour Experts will also be on hand to provide personalised colour advice during our live Colour Consultancies on Facebook, handing out advice to those who want to add more colour to their lives but need help finding the perfect hues.
