The Associate Strategy Director at AF is a partner to senior clients across all accounts. They are well versed in Brand, Business & Digital thinking. They ensure our clients’ long-term brand and digital strategy and biggest projects are differentiated, innovative and effective. They bring powerful thinking, as well as the experience and skills to champion great ideas that use digital to make the analog world better. They are solely responsible for the strategic output on their account. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO / Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead research & insight development that unlocks innovative opportunities 
- Lead development of differentiated, innovative & effective digital strategies
- Ensure that both client and internal teams fully understand strategic direction for accounts
- Ensure that our work delivers against our clients goals (and that learnings are taken from any failures)
- Be a skilled storyteller, able to write and present innovative strategies and ideas to clients and within wider industry events 
- Be the main escalation point for all strategic matters on their accounts (internal & external)
- Excellent working relationships with clients, be someone clients want at the top table
- Lead collaborative relationship with senior staff in Creative, Content, Data and UX teams
- Support Head of Strategy in developing and improving tools & frameworks
- Support Head of Strategy and Strategy Director by managing & mentoring other strategists
- Act as a thought leader within the agency

- Collaborative approach to “cracking” briefs across strategic practices and other departments.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE / Skills & Experience

- 7+ years experience in leading digital creative agencies
- Extensive experience of developing strategic plans
- Track record of successfully delivering strategic projects
- Must have extensive experience in social and content strategy as well as broader comms and branding projects 
- Be open and empathetic
