AnalogFolk Group and Bayer wins Gold at the 2023 Clio Health Awards for Canesten’s social purpose platform, 'The Truth, Undressed'

AnalogFolk Group (AFG),the progressive marketing and technology group creating a smarter future for people, brands, and society, is thrilled to announce its ground-breaking social purpose platform ‘The Truth, Undressed’ has won the Gold award at the 2023 Clio Health Awards in the Partnerships & Collaborations (Lifestyle, Wellness & Over-the-Counter) medium. 

Created in partnership with Canesten the intimate health brand expert, The Truth, Undressed is a social purpose platform that aims to strip away shame and over-sexualisation through ground-breaking education. The education-at-scale initiative empowers young people with trustworthy information, without any of the usual clichés, taboos, or euphemisms on intimate health to fight feelings of shame and distress that stops them from seeking medical attention.

The programme includes a dedicated educational microsite and social media awareness videos, plus free, comprehensive lesson plans that have been developed in collaboration with national body The PSHE Association, which teaches 11–18 year olds about vulval and vaginal anatomy and health.

The social purpose platform has already reached 150,000 students as part of the National Curriculum in schools across the UK, 163 million people through media coverage and 3.4 million people on social media.

‘The Truth, Undressed’ campaign is part of Vagina Academy, the global education activation Canesten and AnalogFolk first launched in February 2021 in pilot market Brazil with the campaign Intensivão da PPK, the world’s first digital school of intimate health. Intensiavão da PPK was launched on TikTok where its videos were viewed 43 million times and reached over 200K subscribers, equating to filling 17.5K real-life classrooms. Vagina Academy has since rolled out with hyper-local execution in Italy and Australia.

Clio Health was founded in 2009 as an extension of the world-renowned Clio Awards competition. The prestigious program was established to celebrate and reward excellence in the expansive and ever-evolving global health industry. It recognizes creative marketing, advertising and communications in the fields of physical, mental and social well-being. Award winners are determined by an industry-specific jury of creative leaders who determine which entries earn the Grand, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Shortlist distinction each cycle. 

AnalogFolk Group will be celebrated at the 2023 Clio Health awards show in New York City in June.
